how we spent our saturday

pre-deployment woes

Well we are approaching the deployment day. almost done with the training part and moving too fast towards d day. D had a month long training last month and was injured on his return home. so i have been dealing with that among other things. but since then anytime D went to pick up his car keys or leave the room brennen(who will be 4 in a few month) would say "daddy are you coming back? please dont leave me.." well we have explained that daddy has to go soon and will be back before he knows it. i have continued our normal schedule of play dates and crafts and now going to the pool. it was seeming to work but since he was injured he was out of work for 2 weeks and with in those 2 weeks brennen has become a daddy's boy. well now on to this past saturday night. as i put him to bed and told him to kiss and hug his daddy, since he was going away again for a little bit but would be back. he fought me so hard i had to pat him to sleep. i woke up at 3:30 to take D to the airport(on mothers day) and i had my sister stay with brennen so he could sleep, well he woke up at 4:30am and so did she. when i got back home we got ready for church. of course like always his teacher was late and he was being moved to a different room until she showed up. he had a melt down. "please dont leave me, please mommy" so with those pleas i stayed until she got there and i explained what was going on with him. she said he did wonderfully during the hour i was in church. then we go to lunch. i park the car and get out. i go to his door which is on the driver side and he is freaking out/screaming bloody murder. "please dont leave me in the car" FYI i have NEVER left him in the car, EVER. so i have no clue why he is doing this, but he now does this every time i or anyone else gets out of the car. then sunday night i have to pat him again to sleep and he wakes up hysterical at 5:30am. had a great monday with no melt downs until its time for bed. i have to pat him to sleep again, however this time he only sleeps an hour before he wakes up hysterical again. i finally get him into his bed again at 10:30pm and turn on his tv so he can watch a movie. he has cried out a few times since being up there, but i dont know what else to do. i cant let him sleep with me, he will never go back to his room other wise. and what in the heck am i going to do in less then a month when D leaves for 10ish months. within those 10ish months he will get a baby sister, starts preschool, turn 4 and go through so many holidays to count. ive looked up everything i can think of to try and help him and nothing seems to work. maybe if i stay strong he will stop, but im not sure how many more times i can tell him to go back to his bed without crying myself. its breaking my heart.

baby #2 is...

meant to blog earlier in the week but have pretty busy shopping and plus we have been at the beach since last monday. we go home tomorrow and to tell you the truth im kinda ready. dont get me wrong i love it down here but im just ready to be in my bed and to have brennen on some sort of bed time schedule.

ANYWAYS..... baby #2

we found out monday morning before heading to the beach. we only go one picture from the ultrasound since baby wouldn't wake up for anything. so i go back in 3 weeks to have another one while im at my normal appointment. the one picture we got was telling us what we were having. and it took almost 45 mins to get that one. baby #2 is



we are shocked and super excited were having a girl. we have decided to name her pyper nicole and we cant wait to meet her. we have been doing a little light shopping all week and i got a call form my sister saying that my mom has just gone crazy buying girl clothing. so it looks like i will have my work cut out for me when i get home tomorrow and finding where to put all of her things. i am shopping in a HUGE consignment sale on saturday and i am excited to shop shop shop for little pyper.

well thats all for tonight. off to bed we have a long, but not too long of a drive back home tomorrow...

Dancing the night away

So this past weekend was our first military ball. I was a little nervous about the whole thing since I am not quite used to everything army yet. But it was a night where me and D got to get away and hangout with friends and dress up.

I only know maybe a hand full of wives in his unit and only one of them was going. I HATE meeting new people. I am kinda on the shy side when I meet you for the first time. Anyway,...

I got to the hotel around 3:30 and we didn't have to be there until 6 so we hung out and watched a movie and then got ready. I TRIED to do a hair style that i fell in love with on pinterest and well it didn't work so I just wore my hair down like I do on a normal day. We went down to the lobby to follow some of the other people there since we didn't know where we were going. The place was so cute. It usually is a fancy place to eat and they do weddings and such. Huge low hanging chandlers. Just so cute. We had like an hour cocktail hour kinda thing and then we had a reception line to shake hands with some important people. Even a general was there. Once we did all the hand shaking we got to eat and by that time this pregger was STARVING.. lol. of course their was a speaker and we couldn't talk while he talked. There was a lot of formal things we had to do which was very different and not all of us knew what we were supposed to do. probably around 8 they started up the dancing with a dj. Lets just say it was quite funny to see very high ranking men drunk and acting a fool on the dance floor hahaha... We took a ton of pictures of all of us but I didn't take any of the place and I should have since it was just so freaking cute. Bout 9:30 the place shut down but since it was early we went to a bar a street over. Once inside we saw everyone that got kicked out with us.. We stayed there until 1am just hangout with everyone and eating fried pickles.. yummmm :)

We had such a wonderful time. Me and D were able to spend some time together and hangout with friends. I met some new people that night and I am so glad. Here are a few pictures from the night.

Belly shows a lot quicker second time around. Not a fan of that, but what can you do.

*12 week and 3 days*

Not really too much has changed. So I guess that is a good thing.

We are roughly 5 weeks away from finding out what baby #2 is. I have a friend who has an ultrasound machine and we are checking on baby every 2 weeks. So we got to see baby yesterday and he or she is growing at a rapid rate. baby is very long but looks great. Picture post soon as i get the cd from yesterday.

So I haven't thought much about it until the other day. I decided I wanted to make it and who knows how long it will take. So I have picked out all the fabric and all I need to do is buy it and start. We wont know what were having until mid march but what I have picked and LOVE can go either way. *inside of bumpers , back side of blanket and bed skirt*

If we are having a girl I will add little owls, birds and maybe some flowers into the whole things.




And if we are having another boy then I will mix in elephants and giraffes.



Did i mention that I am going to try and paint all these, or what I pick anyways. Also I am going to paint the hospital door hander that will match the room. So I can hang it on his or her door at home.

Well I think that is all for now on the baby bedding. We have a bout 6ish weeks until we find out what were having. Can't wait.

good news.

his mind is made up

every year about this time i start to plan brennen's birthday parties. yes my sons birthday is in aug but hey i like to get a jump start. plus i make a lot of the decorations and i like to not be rushed. this year he has decided on a cowboy party and i am so excited. we will ask everyone to come in their cowboy and cowgirl attire and maybe we will even have a small pony to ride, thats a BIG maybe. we know someone who has them but we dont know if he can get them here. so now it is time to start planning on what i will make an what i will buy. i already have so many ideas i cant wait to get started..

Things have been going pretty good here. We still don't know if the ordders for the deployment have dropped or if he got picked up to work at the unit until d day but he did get a small job on the side until he leaves or until he gets the one wiht the unit. Im still holding out faith that he will get the guard job since thats a great thing for us but it is whatever god thinks is best. D doesn't really care for what he is doing right now and i can't say i blame him but its a job and he gets paid. so thats always the plus side.

in other news i have been trying to work with brennen on helping out more around the house. picking up his toys really is a hard thing for me to get him to do so we are going to start a reward chart. when he cleans he gets a piece of candy. i am hoping this works since i am running out of ideas. fingers crossed...

also it is getting to that time when we need to start looking at birthday party options. yes you might be saying thats not until aug but i like to get a head start and i like to make most of his decorations. i would love to do a harry potter party but i think i will save that one for a few years down the road. i also thought about a cowboy party. and have everyone dress up like cowboys and cowgirls. that would be fun.. but i guess it is his choice.
