army of 3:hdb: vacation into the wilderness part one...

Well I haven't posted in a long time. I have a lot to write about and the time to do it, but for some reason I just don't want to. I'm in a funk. If it wasn't for this cold front that came through I would be at the pool right now soaking up the rays, however i'm inside doing laundry instead.. Bummer...

Anyways... So things have been going like crazy around here since we got back from vegas. I had to start packing for another trip. I wasn't very smart when I planned all this. I made two trips within days from each other, I never thought I would have some I wouldn't call it jet lag but something like that. I was always tired. I had to pack for a week long vacation for brennen and I and D had to pack for a month long "to do" with the army. So lets just say it looked like we had dumped out everything in the house and threw it into a suit case. Which brings me to us leaving. Now I have never spent a mothers day with D since I had brennen. That would make 3 mothers days alone.

mothers day 1: he was in basic training
mothers day 2: he was working
mothers day 3: away with training

I know it comes with the military life style but man it kinda sucks. we have only been together on one fathers day too. and this year I believe it will make it two fathers days. Anyways.... My mom took brennen while I was in vegas and he painted me a sweet coffee mug. I love me some coffee so this was the BEST gift I could have gotten.

He was so excited to give it too me too.

So after the giving of the mothers day presents we decided to get on the road. The drive wasn't too bad. But once we found the cabin I had no clue it was actually going to be in the wilderness. Like I mean animals and giant spiders, like the size of my hand, my whole hand fingers to wrist. Im not joking. I should have taken a picture of it but I was too freaked out. But our cabin was awesome. A 2 bedroom, 2 bath and 3 flat screens, hot tube and a jetted bathtub.

Brennen got to watch his shows and take a bath at the same time.. Oh yeah he was so happy. So after we tested out the tub and hot tub we decided to venture out into the city... We have gone to gatlinburg since i was little so it is nothing new and we always have fun. So we figured we would go and do ober gatlinburg and dolly wood half a day.

Ober was fun. we rode the tram over, which is up the mt, and brennen loved it. once there we rode several rides

Brennen begged to ride this water ride, so ae took him on it and he screamed the whole way down, needless to say he hated it. Next we decided to ride the mt slidewinder

now this ride you had to ride a chairlift for about 10 mins to get to the spot to ride down. lets just say I was having a mini breakdown. I was so worried he was going to get restless and want out. so he only rode it once, so we made it count...

Next we rode the carousel, brennen loves to rid the non moving animals or seats.

And then last but not least before we left ober we went through a maze

Then we left ober and went to dolly wood for a half day thing. Brennen just had so much fun we rode several rides and brennen played in a splash pad. and this was his first big boy ride. You had to be 36 inches to ride and he was 37 and a half. We only rode it 2 times that day but on wednesday he rode it 8 more times.
