Brennen had an ent appointment yesterday. We found out that he has some fluid that has been just kinda sitting there for a few months. His dr. should have noticed this with all the trips we take to her, but as usual she says he's fine, everything is fine.. Well he isn't and everything isn't.
Ok so the beginning of why we went in the first place. He is 20 and a half months old and only says about 10 words.. Only 5 of these words are understandable. So i have been kinda worried.. Working in daycares since i was 17 i have seen it all and know what they should be doing. So when brennen didn't walk until he was almost 15 months i was really worried (thats and understatement) and then the no talking on top of the walking.. Well we wanted to check his hearing to see if he was hearing us correctly and well his right ear was a small hump and the left ear was a flat line.. The hearing dr. wasn't sure if it was fluid or not so we were sent to the pa on the other hall. He cleaned his ear out really well and he saw some fuild so from there we went to the ent. He decided that we need to have tubes put in and have his adenoids removed. Everything was a go until we noticed that he was kinda rattly. So they cant do the surgery monday like we wanted. We have to wait until june 1st and that is if the meds we were put on clear it. If not then we might have to go down town when the operate on the really sick children since he is in need to have this done.. His dr. should have sent us to the ent at 3rd ear infection, not us going around her at ear infection number 6ish. She keeps telling us nothing is wrong, even when i took him today for the meds and told her what they said she told me she didnt hear what they were hearing but she would give me the meds anyways. that it wouldnt hurt him. We have had a few problems with her and were pretty sure were switching dr. but we will wait until after the surgery.
Other then the back to back dr. appointments so far this month and the many more to come. We are in the middle of getting ready to go to the beach with family. I have been super excited to let brennen and his cousin b play together in the sand for the first time. However the oil spill is prob going to put a little damper on our trip. The hotel has some really cool pools so i hope everything will be fine with them. I am writing everything down that we will need and finishing shopping for things we will need. Next week i will start the packing. Then brennen has a hair appointment next thursday so he looks great for beach pictures (if we can get them) I have also gone for a job interview and is in the process of waiting to hear if i got it or not.. i should hear something tomorrow. if i get it i will start on the 25th. Then a pre op appointment for brennen on the 28th to clear him for surgery.
WOW.. we have a crazy month ahead.... Only down side to june getting closer and closer is that d leaves for his 2 weeks and i'm not too happy about being alone .. So i will prob be posting a lot more in june since it will be just me and the little man...
