It is about 4 and a half months until brennen turns 2.. Very hard to believe.. I went a bit over board last year for his 1st. It was a pirate theme, which i was totally in love with and enjoyed planning for. I am so unsure how to top it this year. I have been thinking about doing a dr seuss themed party since he is in love with the books right now.. He digs through his little library of books to find the few dr seuss books that he has and brings them to us, and wont leave until you have read it about 3 times in a row. He loves to be read to and to "read" them to himself. So i figure this would be the best theme for his party. The only problem is that im having trouble finding invites that i like or want to use. So i figured i would make my own, but my creative side is a little on the fritz when it is coming to rhyming words to make since for the party.. I dont want it to be based on one book, i want to be a overall dr seuss party.. I figured i would have snacks for the kids and a like make your own cookies, cupcakes or ice cream kinda think.. maybe different candies in odd shaped containers.. trying to have all the bright colors and odd shaped things like in the books...
I have also given thought to underwater themes and overall disney theme. but i havent found anything for those to just jump off the page at me.. Once i nail down the invites and a location then i know the rest will fall into place.. Only problem is that it is kinda hard to pick a place because whos knows what will happened in the next coming months.. if we find a place or switch jobs.. You just never know..

the cake my mom made for the party. they sell it at publix's for $50

pirate cookies that i made

His party last year was supposed to be at the park by the house but it was raining..Well that is kinda an understatement. So we had to move the party to the house at the last min and start setting up for it. It turned out to be great and just what we needed..
More party ideas coming as the time gets closer. I just hope the next post i have about his party i will at least have nailed down a theme and invites...

Hey Heather,
Got your comment. I am still at Fort Gordon and honestly, I am not a big fan of it here. Augusta in general is a dirty town and the crime rate in Richmond county is really high. But it is a matter of preference really. I just haven't had the greatest experience. I know several people like it but for the most part, most people are ready to leave not long after they get here. Any questions? Just let me know!

dana any ideas are welcomed.. i have picked the books i wanna do and things for some of the books... green eggs and ham, one fish two fish, horton hears a who and cat in the hat. his invites are the cover to the places youll go.. were taking quotes from that book and putting them on signs and placing them in the yard going up to the front door... but anyways as you can see i have so many ideas and i just dont know if i can pull them all off...
