christmas time baby

we have been so busy lately that I have not been able to post.. but more posting soon.

now we had a great christmas and we saw tons of family and brennen got way too many gifts.. now time for nothing but pictures..










and as you can tell from his pile of gifts he got too much like always and that wasn't even half of it,

So D and I are in kind of a rough spot right now. Not with each other or our family but with the general world. A lot has changed in 3 weeks and it really sucks right now. To say i'm a little disappointed would be a lie. Im more then a little. But really what can I do. stay in bed and cry? No I have to get up and still go about our day and hope for something better. I know God has a plan, but man do I wish he would give us a little look at it. I trust it will be ok and that he nevers gives us more then we can handle but I really think I am at my limit with what I can handle right now...


Just pray for us that things start falling into place very very soon..

new people and new things

So last sunday I went to my very first FRG meeting. They started having monthly meeting since we are getting close to D-day. I have never been to one or really apart of the military family. Since we don't live on base I don't have military wife friends that im not related to or ones I met through here. I am a very shy person when it comes to meet people. Luckly the hubby was allowed to attend the meetings with us or I would have been all alone. I met another wife who has a 9 month old who's husband does the same job as my hubby. well she was really nice and I figured she was new to this like I am. Well come to find out she has done a deployment and knows a lot of the other wives and soldiers. She seems to keep up with all the FRG things. I would love to keep up or even be apart of it but to be honest I have no clue what they are even talking about most of the time. I am always asking question about everything. I guess I need to work on this. All the other wifes seem to know each other and Im just kinda on the outside. I know some military wifes whoes husbands are highly ranked act like they are better then others, and I can tell there are a few in this group too, which makes me more nervous about fitting in.

I guess my main thing is I have two choices. 1: I can get envoled, get to know people and become a active member of the wife group. or 2: I can sit back and not worry about it and stay to myself.

All I know is when I was driving to this meet sunday I was so anxious. Plus when I got to the building I had no clue where to go. Other wives were walking in and going about their business and not asking if I knew where to go. A soldier actually stopped and helped me. Other wives didn't ask who I was since they could tell I was new. They hung in little groups to each other.

D doesn't care if I get involved with the FRG or not. He jsut thinks it would be a good place for me to make friends, with kids, who are having the same things going on in their lives like me.

I guess I have a lot of thinking to do.

boo in the zoo

we did boo in the zoo the friday before halloween and we had a blast.
Brennen loved the animal/scooby doo show.

happy halloween

so this would be brennen's 4th halloween..
It makes me so sad that he is getting so big.
He is no longer looking like a little boy or a toddler.
He is like a big kid now..

pumpkin patch

So last week we took brennen to the little pumpkin patch down the road from the house. It is at a church so they don't charge you to get in and the pumpkins are cheep and the money goes to a good cause. This is the third year we have been to this pumpkin patch and I love the tradition we have started with this, however I will have to go alone next yr but we will deal (deployment)..

friday quicky

So this week we havent really had much going on. We went to the pumpkin patch last friday, and i will post those some time this coming week. We also decorated our pumpkins too, pictures coming next week also.

Brennen and I are going out of town with D next week so I will have plenty of time in a hotel room to update on pictures and such then.

Also made brennen 2 new shirts. A pirate ship and a dino. He is so in love with them too. right now he is all about anything pirate or just skull and cross bones. which is fine by me since i love that too :)

TRIED getting my military id updated today but go figure deers is closed on fridays. and after today i wont be able to get on a base to update it without D since it expires tomorrow.. that's a lot deers. oh well..


also I entered the fall foto contest over at G.I. Joes wife, so vote for me(little boy in pirate costume sitting infront of pumpkins)

overdue

so i meant to post last week but we have been very busy.. so here is a run down.

OUR NEW CAR TRACK:



TRIP TO THE ER:
* face met foot board. got one stitch to close the BIG hole in his lip.*

MAJOR CONSIGNMENT SALE FINDS:
* blues clues three shelf house book case. and thinking chair. each 10.00$**3 christmas pj's, 5 pants, 2 wind jackets, 1 pea coat, 1 pair of shoes, 1 pair of slippers, 6 shirts, 3 plain shirts for me to sew things on.

PINTEREST INSPIRED CRAFTS/HOLIDAY DECORATIONS:
*kinda changed a few things and not 100% happy with the glitter and all but brennen loves it, so we will keep it**i also changed a few things on this too. i can change the "holiday themed ribbon and cut outs" to different holidays. also not 100% happy on it but it will do.

FUNNY STORY.... on my way home from the tanning bed at about 7:30ish i was driving down the main road of my neighborhood and i see something weird in the bushes. so i slow down to look. two middle school looking kids jump out at my car wearing clown mask.. i almost hit them they scared me so bad. I HATE CLOWNS.

so this is just a little bit of whats been going on. We have got a very busy weekend too.

some dreams aren't all good

Brennen has been having bad dreams lately. He says and I quote "A very big brown and white furry monster was chasing him" . We aren't sure where he is getting this from.

-No he hasn't watched monsters inc in like a year
-No he doesn't watch any shows with scary monsters
-No we don't pretend to be monsters or pretend they are real

The only things we have to do with monsters is his bathroom. It is decorated with monsters, but before you say well there's the issue. These monsters are silly. They have funny faces and bright colors, like lime green, purple, red and yellow.. So nothing brown and white. He also has a read with me book form hallmark that is a monster daddy and monster son. but they aren't scary looking or acting either. Plus it is read in mine and my husbands voice since it is a recordable book.

He has gotten to the point where he wont even lay in his bed at night. So a friend told me to do a "monster spray" and let him spray them away. We did that tonight and he loved it. And he slept for about an hour before he woke up with the dream again. It took me an hour of rocking him to go back to bed. Now I guess we will see if it last. Now this has been going on for about a month and only happens when D is out of town. I am not sure if this has something to do with it or not. Maybe he is missing him on some level that he doesn't understand and it comes out in bad dreams.. i don't know..

lets hope that if we continue the "monster spray" he will start sleeping better...

time with daddy

so I have been way behind on posting pictures off my camera.
so a few weeks d and i took brennen down to what is called the "train depot" not sure why minus one old train car sitting there.
but they have tons of peewee soccer fields lined up. and he got a soccer ball for his bday and a tball set. so we figured lets see how he does. We also took his small disc golf baskets and disc's out there. he refused to play soccer. go figure. he played a little tball but he really enjoys disc golf. of course. he is just like his daddy, lol. all in all it was a great afternoon spent just the three of us. we don't get to do that very often so it was wonderful. now that it is cooling off more now were hoping to take him fishing a little..but we will see..

weekendish wrap up

so lets see. i have just finishing rereading true blood for the second time, minus the newest one. i have been on a waiting list and i got the call today saying it was my turn and to come and pick it up, after i dropped off my other books. go figure. and of course now that i am done reading and ready to start some fall projects i get strep. blahhhh.


lets see weekend wrap up..

saturday: i went to watch my fav college football team with my mother in law. we had such a great time. we met up with my sister in law , her boyfriend and her boyfriends cousin. i actually bought NOTHING from the venders.. i cant believe it. i got home at 1 am from the game(dinner afterward, traffic and the stadium is an hour away) got in the bed at 1:30 and then got up at 4am to take d to the airport downtown. it was an hour round trip. plus brennen got up at about 7:30. i was way beyond tired.

sunday: d left for new york and boston for a week with work. D has never been to new york and the one thing he wanted to see was the 9-11 memorial. It is very important to him and to us as a military family. his mom did some research and found out it is booked until october. but then i was sent this, (not sure why he didn't smile) Im so glad he was about to see it. he explained he is in the army and they let him in. he has sent me several pictures through cell phone so far and it looks like he is having a great time.

and of course yesterday i go outside and wash BOTH cars and then it rains, and will continue to rain for 4 days. what luck.

we totally busted out the halloween jammies early...

and doesn't everyone wear a banana as a hat???
