So D has his drill this weekend, so I usually make a ton of plans to keep busy. Well he got an email last night saying that family is invited to come on either day to sit in a meeting and meet the other families before they get sent away. Well this email makes it all too real, yes I know it is happening and yes I know I have to get over it but man does it suck. So I don't know if im going. D doesn't really know much about it. Like we don't have a time, place or what all will happen. So I am not sure. Of course I want to go and meet the other families and I said so I will meet the frg leander and all and he said that he didn't know if there was one since it is the guard. I thought that sounded weird but maybe not. This will be our first deployment so we aren't sure of a lot of things. So I am so torn on what to do. What if I break down during the meeting? What if I don't ask the right questions? So I guess I have a lot to thing about and talk with D about....
Anyways on to what this post was going to be about.... THANKSGIVING.....
As usual we went with D's dad's family and they go to a different place every year.. It is hard to find places since there are 30+ people that go. We had so much fun. I only took one picture this year... I can not believe it, I guess I got too caught up in hanging out i forgot. But thankfully everyone else took pictures... We played a new game called corn hole.. Well it is new to us as a family... We had a blast... Man do I miss these people. We only get together once a year unless there is a wedding, So thanksgiving is a blast and when we get together you would have no clue that we only see each other that much.... We already have next year planed and I am counting down the days... Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving with their families..

veterans day.. a day late...

First I want to say thank you to all the men and women who fight for our freedom.
This is a picture of 3 vets that mean a lot to me.
First the hubby. Second is my brother in law (who is in iraq right now) and then there is a good friend that the hubby met in basic that also went to ait and we still see from time to time (he is also in iraq right now)
Thank you so much guys :)
So how did I spend veterans day.. hummm well the soldier was out of town so I didn't get to see him... :(
Instead I went to watch my sister dance at her college football game.

We always enjoy this. Even though she only has one football game left but we get to be so lucky that the dance team also dances at the basketball game... woot woot...
They honored some fallen soldiers at the game that came from our state. And they had the rotc there and they did the whole "push ups" for how many touch downs you get thing. So it was nice to be around uniforms even if my man wasn't there...
Of course my poor baby looked all over them trying to find his daddy. Made me a little sad but he gets to see him today and I know he is super excited...
Anyway.....
I ment to write that the hubby got promoted. And I am beaming... I am so proud of him, he has worked so hard to get it. I can only hope that he will get another or two before he deploys.. I want him to stay on the base to tend to people not go out in the field. He says it wont happen but I am holding out hope..
( from his basic graduation day, his rank has changed several times since then)
You can so tell this is old.. Brennen was so little. Looking at these reminds me, I don't take enough pictures... I believe I need to change that :)
So for a treat I am taking the hubby to go and watch our favorite college football team play tomorrow... We are excited since we haven't been to a game since before we were married ( 4 years )... So it will be like a little date for us... :)

This is only 2 years ago, couldn't find one from when we were dating...
Now I am off to do some school work before the Hubby comes home.
