a year ago... normal life happened...

Wow really its been a year???? A year ago me and my little man boarded a plane(his first) and flew to texas to bring home our soldier..

Brennen did really good on the plane ride there and back. I was super proud. Although I hated how people would give us the whole "oh no a baby" look.. Not very nice people...

D's graduation from ait was a year ago.. REALLY??? It doesn't seen like we have lived a "normal" life for that long. I mean I am super grateful for that. And if things go like they have told us, which i'm not holding my breath, we have another year and a few months until we have to live the "active" life again.

At his graduation was when he had to say goodbye to some of his best friends that he had learned to lean on in good and bad... And I must admit I was a little sad to say bye to them too since I had time to bond all summer with them too..

Had to say goodbye to my sister-in-law, sweet little brylee and brother-in-law who were oh so sweet to let me stay all summer knowing it was what was best for me and brennen...

Man does last september seem for ever ago. We have changed so much since then. I feel we have grown together more then ever since him leaving last march. And we are all more stronger then ever. I hope this continues with every time he has to leave.

To another year of living the normal life....

time for sand and sun....

So since the hubby has a new job and all he is gone some during the week. Well two weeks ago he worked about two hours from his dad's house (who we don't see that often). So I drove down on Thursday to pick him up with brennen watching toy story the whole way.

Picked him up at work and we headed to his dad's house at the beach... We got pretty lucky that the next place he had to work that week was only 30 mins away from his dads. So we ended up staying at the beach for a whole week and it was oh so wonderful.

We went to the zoo

and took him to play putt putt , which he didn't understand at all..

Played at the park and I took him twice to the beach.. The husband does not like sand so he stayed behind.

We swam at the hotel pool some too.. Over all it was a wonderful trip to visit with family and spend some much needed time away from the "real life". Were back home now and things are starting to fall back into the normal routine but we are so excited for the weekend... Until next time,,
