wordless wednesday(time at the park with daddy 3-30-10)

time to plan..

It is about 4 and a half months until brennen turns 2.. Very hard to believe.. I went a bit over board last year for his 1st. It was a pirate theme, which i was totally in love with and enjoyed planning for. I am so unsure how to top it this year. I have been thinking about doing a dr seuss themed party since he is in love with the books right now.. He digs through his little library of books to find the few dr seuss books that he has and brings them to us, and wont leave until you have read it about 3 times in a row. He loves to be read to and to "read" them to himself. So i figure this would be the best theme for his party. The only problem is that im having trouble finding invites that i like or want to use. So i figured i would make my own, but my creative side is a little on the fritz when it is coming to rhyming words to make since for the party.. I dont want it to be based on one book, i want to be a overall dr seuss party.. I figured i would have snacks for the kids and a like make your own cookies, cupcakes or ice cream kinda think.. maybe different candies in odd shaped containers.. trying to have all the bright colors and odd shaped things like in the books...


I have also given thought to underwater themes and overall disney theme. but i havent found anything for those to just jump off the page at me.. Once i nail down the invites and a location then i know the rest will fall into place.. Only problem is that it is kinda hard to pick a place because whos knows what will happened in the next coming months.. if we find a place or switch jobs.. You just never know..

His party last year was supposed to be at the park by the house but it was raining..Well that is kinda an understatement. So we had to move the party to the house at the last min and start setting up for it. It turned out to be great and just what we needed..

More party ideas coming as the time gets closer. I just hope the next post i have about his party i will at least have nailed down a theme and invites...

Rain

So because of the rain yesterday my "boot shoot" pictures couldnt be taken. I was very excited to get them done. Im planning on putting brennen in them using d's acu hat and dogtags.. I hope the weather starts looking up soon.. So i can get them done...



On a second note: Tomorrow is my 23rd bday...
and how am i spending it???
work,dinner out and goinf to a uab basketball game(nit)....

such sad news

My heart is breaking for Mrs. P.(a little pink in a world of camo) She is going through every military spouse's worst nightmare. Please keep her and the family in your prayers, especially her baby daughter who will never get to meet her daddy.

weekend fun.

This weekend we spent alot of time outside and trying new things.. Here are some of the pictures from the weekend...

Brennen used to HATE to swing but now he has started to enjoy it, if you cant tell from these..

The laugh that was coming from him was the funniest thing ever..

We built a fort out of chairs and blankets. I figured he would care and all but he just loved climbing in and out.. His entry to the fort was under one of the chairs...

And finally i will end with a picture from his AWESOME bubble bath.. Which he loved until he did this..

He ate the bubbles.. Which didnt taste very good to him... but other then the eating of the bubbles he played until his skin was wrinkled and the water was cold...

New things to come...

So i havent posted a blog in a long time.. I have been very busy and well havent felt like writing.. I have been reading my daily blog that i have come to love and feel inspired by evryday to try something new... I have also through reading hers, things i def wanna do for myself.. I am making a list of things i wanna do,change and make..


1) Write brennens birth story... Because in a few years i know the some things will fade and i want to remember everything...

2) Finish working on my photo albums.. Getting them in order etc..

3) make brennens shadow box of birth things..Hat,bracelet and card with baby boy "d" on it...

4) Spend more time outside..Letting bren explore everything like he wants and not worry if he ruins his clothes or not(im bad about that)

5) Dancing in the rain with him...

6)Exercise everyday.. Im trying just not hitting that goal...


There are many more things that i want to do.. but just not ebough time to write them all down right now...

As for dancing in the rain with brennen well that might be happening this week.. Since it is going to be raining for 3 STRAIGHT days... I just hope with it ,it will bring warmth and sun shine when it is all over..Monday was perfect... took bren to the park and ran... He loved the warm wind blowing in his face...
