*a mcwane weekend*

Last weekend we went to the Mcwane center as a family.. Brennen had a blast playing in "just MICE size" and "itty bitty magic city"... he played with a huge peg board that reminded me of the light bright i had as a child.. We only had 2 meltdowns.. first was when i removed him from the peg board because he was stealing pegs from other children... and the second was when he pushed another child out of his way to get into a toy car... Other then that it was a great day.. He got to touch sharks and stingrays in the open tank(which he thought was very cool)...

I believe his dad had just as much fun as he did running around and climbing on everything..

He loved the slide so much and would stay in there even if other kids came piling down on top of him...
He LOVED the water.. I had to pull him away, we were both soaked from chasing the balls in the spouts....
Here is the peg board that he loved so much. It was by far one of his favorite things to do there...
This was very cool. It was a coke bottle laid on the side with wheels under it(i believe it was ment to look like a rocket ship) but you could turn the straw and look out at everyone.. It also had a mini cockpit... He spent most of his time in there crawling through the long tubes looking out at all the kids running and laughing...

All and all it was a great family weekend in which i am so thankful for...

*our unexpected friday*

So today was a snowy day here.. It started about 9ish and ended about 6ish, but didnt start sticking until about 3..It was only a dusting but he LOVED it... He was almost 7 months last time it snowed here(the day d left for basic/ait)..He couldnt do anything then but sit in his bumbo seat and look around, but not this time he ran around, pointed at every snowflake and mumbled on and on and on about it..Took many pictures through out the day..

trying times for a toddler...

Brennen turns 18 months on the 19th.. He has started what i believe to be the TERRIBLE TWOS.. For those of you that dont know how he acted before this.. He was VERY laid back.. He was a great baby and has been a great toddler up until now.. It was like a switch was flipped about a week ago... He is throwing himself on the floor , trying to climb out of the buggys and screaming for no reason... So i am at a loss of what to do with this since this is my first child and he has never acted like this before... My family and husband say he just hates shopping or he just wants to walk.. We have tried both and he still does them at home or when we let him walk in stores...We have also been broken from the passy for about 3 weeks now(all but naptime) so this might have something to do with all of this...

We have also started the potty training.. Well were trying.. bought a potty from aafes(waiting for it to be delivered) and no pull ups yet... I put him on the potty about every 2 to 3 hours and some times he goes.. He has been doing great.. I would only have to change him about 2 times a day.. but last thursday he started showing no intrest... I am sure this is normal form time to time but he started not wanting to go when the fits started.. So i am wondering if they have anything to do with each other... Were still trying.. Im hoping he will want to start doing it again soon since he was going almost every time i took him....

So if anyone has any advice please fill free to give it.. It is always welcome :)

Hello everyone... My name is Heather D... I am 22 years old... I love shopping and traveling, but what i love more is being a wife and mother.. My husband is in the US Army(job classified,you understand)... We are a family of three facing the world one day at a time and doing the best that we can... so we are a army of 3....



My husband and I have been married for 3 years.. there has been so many changes in those 3 years.. joining the army, getting pregnant, our baby being born and my husband going off to basic/ait... 3 years full of ups and downs but no matter what it has been full of love....


On 08-19-2008 our son was born.. His name is Brennen(9lbs and 10oz) and was in the nicu for 5 days with breathing problems.... He is very healthy now.. He is about to turn 18 months... It has been wonderful watching him learn and grow.. everyday is a new and exciting day...I cant wait to see what the next day holds for us...
